NY Showcase for the win.
Seriously, it is so amazing to see something like that in print, not least of all because it wasn't the kind of show I ever expected to see reviewed. It's not a play, it has no storyline or unification beyond all the performers are in the same class. It's a collection of songs, monologues, and scenes to try and impress New York casting directors and agents in hopes of getting us jobs after we graduate.
But the truth is, we love to read positive reviews. Not because we're insecure people who live on the praise of others, but because entertaining people really is our job. It's what we do. And it's always a good thing to find out that we've done our job well.
So here's to the show, the performers, and our trip next week to New York!
